What we do with your details

The short version: your photo never leaves your phone. The only thing that reaches us is whatever you type into the form — and only if you say yes.

Your photo

The frame is placed over your picture on your own device, in your browser. Nothing about the photo is uploaded, stored, or seen by anyone. When you share it, it goes straight from your phone to whichever app you choose.

This is not a promise we could quietly break — the booth has no way to send us a photo.

What we collect, and why

Your name and mobile number, and your email if you give it, so that the event organiser can contact you about their events. That is the only purpose.

We also count how many photos are taken and which frames are used. Those numbers identify nobody.

Answering is up to you

Giving your details is voluntary. Answer “No” and nothing about you is sent anywhere or kept on your phone — and you can still use the booth and take your photo exactly as normal.

How long we keep it

Your details are deleted within 30 days after the end of the event, automatically. Nobody has to remember to do it.

Deletion runs within about 48 hours of that point rather than on the exact minute, and a routine backup may hold a copy briefly afterwards before it too expires.

Where it is held

On Amazon Web Services, under their data processing terms, which may be outside South Africa. It is encrypted both on its way to us and while stored.

Who can see it

The event organiser, who asked for it, and snapit2share, who run the booth for them. Nobody else. It is never sold, and never shared with advertisers or any other third party.

Children

The form is for adults — a parent or guardian should enter the details if they are for a child. Children are very welcome to use the booth and have their photo taken; that part involves no details at all.

What you can ask for

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it sooner than that. Email snapit2share@gmail.com and we will.
