How snapit2share handles details
The short version: your photo never leaves your phone. The only thing that reaches us is what you type into a booth's form — and only if you tick the box to say you agree.
snapit2share runs photo booths for event organisers. This page is how we handle details at every booth, and on this site. Each event also has its own notice, from its organiser, saying why they ask, how long they keep your details and who to contact: the booth's “What we do with your details” opens it.
Your photo
The frame is placed over your picture on your own device, in your browser. Nothing about the photo is uploaded, stored, or seen by anyone. When you share it, it goes straight from your phone to whichever app you choose.
This is not a promise we could quietly break — the booth has no way to send us a photo.
Who decides, and who keeps
The event's organiser decides why details are collected and what they are used for. We run the booth for them and keep the details on their behalf, and we use them for nothing of our own. Under each country's law that makes the organiser the one responsible for them, and us the one who processes them for it.
What a booth collects
Only if you tick the box saying you are 18 or over and agree: the details the organiser asks for — usually your name and mobile number, and your email if you give it — with the words you agreed to and when, as the record of your consent. The box names every way the organiser may contact you.
We also count how many photos are taken and which frames are used. Those numbers identify nobody.
Answering is up to you
Giving your details is voluntary. Choose “No thanks, just the photo” and nothing that identifies you is sent anywhere or kept on your phone — we add one to a count of how many people declined, and that is all. You still take your photo exactly as normal.
Children
Nobody under 18 is asked for details: the box asks a guest to say they are 18 or over before anything is kept, and anyone younger takes just the photo. Children are very welcome to use the booth and have their photo taken; that part involves no details at all, and the adult with them may leave their own.
How long we keep it
Each event sets a date, shown under the box, at most a year after it ends. On that date its details are deleted automatically. Nobody has to remember to do it.
Deletion runs within about 48 hours of that point rather than on the exact minute, and a routine backup may hold a copy briefly afterwards before it too expires.
Where it is held
On Amazon Web Services, in Mumbai, India, under their data processing terms — for an event elsewhere, a transfer abroad, which our terms with each organiser cover. It is encrypted both on its way to us and while stored.
Who can see it
The organiser's own team, who see a guest's contact details only when they choose to, every look recorded; and snapit2share, to answer your requests and keep the service safe. Nobody else. It is never sold, and never shared with advertisers or any other third party.
We use one other company: Amazon Web Services, to run and store everything.
What you can ask for
To see what is held about you and have a copy, to have it corrected or deleted, and to stop being contacted, at any time. Write to the event's organiser — their notice says how — or to us at snapit2share@gmail.com, saying which event and the number or email address you gave. Before doing anything we check it's you, by calling that number back or writing to that address, never another. One request covers every event where you left those details.
If you are unhappy with how they were handled, each event's notice names the authority in its country you may complain to.
If you ask us for a quote, or for an account
What you give on the pricing page — your name, an email address or a phone number, where your event is and how many days it runs — is used only to reply to you about that event. Only snapit2share sees it, and it is deleted 90 days after you send it, automatically. Email snapit2share@gmail.com to have it deleted sooner.
The same if you ask us for an account and we cannot send you a code yet: your email address and your organisation's name are used only to set your account up and write to you about it, and are deleted 90 days after you ask.
The same for every visitor and every event. Last updated .
