Getting a sponsor to pay for your photo booth

A sponsor does not want a photo booth. They want their name in the photos people send to their friends, and something to show their manager afterwards. A booth on guests' own phones gives them both.

What a sponsor is buying

Their logo in the frame of every photo taken at your event, shared to WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook by the people who were there - to friends who trust them more than any advert.

Nothing to staff and nothing to set up at the venue: one printed code, and the guests' own phones do the rest.

Where their name goes

On the frame. A logo panel along the bottom, or "Brought to you by" with their mark, in every frame you offer - portrait and landscape - so no photo leaves without it.

On the standee beside the code, if they want it there too.

In the caption, as their hashtag. Guests can edit a caption before they share it, so the frame is the place that is certain; the caption is a bonus.

What to promise, and what not to

Promise what you control: their logo in every frame, the code at the places people stop, and the numbers afterwards.

Do not promise a number of shares before the event. It depends on the crowd, the weather and the frames, and nobody can know it in advance. If they want a target, agree on reporting the real figure instead.

Do not promise them the guests' details. Guests consent to you, the organiser, using their details for the purposes named on the form; a sponsor is not one of them unless your form says so and the guest agreed.

The numbers afterwards

After the event, Analytics in the console shows what you can report: how many people opened the booth, how many photos were made, how many were shared, which frames were picked and shared, the busiest hours, and how many guests were local or visiting.

These are counts, never people. Nobody's photo is ever uploaded - the frame is added on the guest's own phone - so there is no gallery to show and nothing to leak.

The event pack has the numbers too, ready to send on.

Pricing it

Price the sponsorship on the reach you can show, not on the booth's cost. Run your first event on the free trial to see your own numbers, then ask us for a quote for a bigger one - a paid event never stops a guest, however many come.
